Scarlett Johansson is August 2008’s Cosmopolitan cover girl. Scarlett shared what she learned about love:

“I’ve always been in monogamous relationships. … Monogamy can be hard work for some people. I don’t think it applies to everybody, and I don’t think a lot of people can do it.”

Ms. Johansson, 23, confirmed her engagement to actor Ryan Reynolds, 31, back in May.

Production on Scarlett’s new project “MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS” has been postponed amid fears of a Hollywood actors’ strike. Filming was due to begin on location in Ireland in the coming weeks.
But, the Irish production company behind the film confirmed on Saturday (May 31) the project has been “put on hold” over concerns the Screen Actors Guild members - of which Johansson is one - will strike at the end of June.
A spokesperson for Element Pictures says, “With strike action involving the Screen Actors Guild looming we are waiting to see what happens. We are hoping that things get resolved in the next few weeks.”
The union is currently locked in negotiations with Hollywood bosses in a dispute over pay and conditions. If the talks fail to be resolved, the film and TV industry could be crippled by walkouts - much like last year’s writers strike.

Trachtenberg: No, but I actually just saw her Monday night. We always have lots of love for each other. Her aura is very cool, so I still take what you said as a compliment.

Trachtenberg: It’s gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous.

TVGuide.com: If you were in fact the next Scarlett Johansson, does that mean you need to go out and record some Tom Waits covers?
Trachtenberg: [Laughs] Ohhhh…. Have you heard her first single?

TVGuide.com: [Flatly] Yes.
Trachtenberg: I think it’s pretty cool and ballsy. Singing is definitely a matter of nerves for me, so I don’t know that I’ll be recording any albums soon!

At Monday, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have announced their engagement after dating for more than a year. Later that day Scarlett showed off her engagement ring at Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala.
